In the world of textiles fishnet is a material with an open, diamond shaped knit that I’m sure many of you have seen on a woman, either in pictures or in the flesh. Men who find fishnets attractive are probably into them for a few reasons. The first reason would be that they are simply into the goth or punk chick. Dressing in that manner signals a certain rebelliousness about a person, a desire to not be part of the mainstream. Many men are attracted to this desire in a woman to be different and the fishnets have become a symbol of this. As an extension of that fishnets have taken on a certain air of naughtiness, which is probably the chief reason why men find them so attractive. If you a compare a woman in fishnets to a woman in regular stockings the woman in fishnets will most certainly have a more dominant, sexual look and feel to her which most men are bound to be attracted to if for nothing else than the guarantee of getting laid. As such, the general appeal of fishnets lies in there representation of sexuality on a very basic level. Even with goth and punk chicks men no doubt view them as more sexual, whether they are or not (typically they are as a part of the rebellion).
