Even though a pantyhose fetish seems to cover a very narrow spectrum there are actually a number of different variations on the vanilla pantyhose fetish. At the most basic level a pantyhose fetish encompasses a simple desire to see a woman wearing pantyhose or stockings. This desire is tied into the fetishist’s sexual needs and often he won’t be able to have a sexual experience without pantyhose of some kind present. However, beyond that there are a nearly limitless number of variations on the pantyhose fetish that one can explore.

Typically, these sub categories of fetishism break down along a few easily categorical lines. The first of these lines is a focus on the panties being on a certain part of the body. One particular pantyhose fetishist may be obsessed with nylon covered feet while another may only be turned on by pantyhose that cover the genital area. Perhaps he would only be able to achieve orgasm or even erection if he were witnessing a pair of pantyhose covering a woman’s genitals. Other men still focus strictly on the legs and how the pantyhose look and feel there. There are even certain men who fetishize pantyhose on the upper body, most frequently pantyhose covering the face and head known as pantyhose encasement.

Another sub category of pantyhose fetishism involves the pantyhose coupled with specific garments of clothing. This typically involves uniforms of some sort and is likely directly traceable to the root of the pantyhose fetish itself. Among triggers for arousal, the most common tend to be secretaries in pantyhose, flight stewardesses, and cheerleaders. For many men, the pantyhose are not a particular turn on unless they are associated with these archetypes. This is one of the many ways in which couples get into sexual role playing and it’s typically not very harmful to the relationship.

Yet another sub category of pantyhose fetishism relates directly to the type of pantyhose a woman is wearing. Some men only really like seamless pantyhose, or the exact opposite in seamed pantyhose. Others are only turned on by pantyhose that are of certain sheerness, or not sheer at all and almost like spandex tights. Some men only enjoy certain pantyhose brands, typically because of some childhood association with that brand.

For some pantyhose fetishists it turns out not to be about the type of pantyhose, or costumes, or anything in the more superficial realm. For some men it’s simply about who’s wearing the pantyhose. Some men are only turned on by black women wearing pantyhose; some are only turned on by Asian women wearing them. Again, this is most likely directly related to how the fetish was first formed. In the case of a fetishist who only gets aroused when seeing Asian women in hose, he was likely exposed to an Asian woman wearing pantyhose at a young age and changed by that experience somehow.

This article barely covers the realm of differing pantyhose fetishism, but you get that idea that it is a wide ranging and multi faceted fetish, covering wildly varying aspects of human sexuality and fetishism.
