For some people, especially those with a true fetish (those that can’t have a sexual experience without the fetish being present) having sex with stockings involved is the only way to do it. The feeling of the soft nylon or silk material rubbing against certain body parts, the encasement of those body parts and the very idea that you’re having sex with someone who embodies a fantasy you have long held can be very erotic. There are two general types of stocking sex that people engage in. One involves the female wearing the stockings and the other involves men wearing stockings. Of course, you can have a mix of both, but that would be included in the above reasoning. Below I will go into more detail on the various types of stocking sex.

The first, and most common by a wide margin, type of stockings sex is where the female is wearing pantyhose. A female wearing thigh high stockings during sex would not be all that uncommon, but pantyhose are typically worn only when going out in the world, whether it be to work or for a party or a fancy meal. Usually, the pantyhose are the first things that come off. However, for a pantyhose fetishist it would be very important that the pantyhose stay on his female companion because it’s unlikely he’ll be able to experience an orgasm if they are not. At the very least he will have a more satisfying sexual experience if the pantyhose are on. Most often the pantyhose worn during stocking sex are simple, run of the mill pantyhose that end with an elastic at the waist. Usually the man will rip a hole around the crotch and insert himself there. However, in extreme cases the man will have his partner wear two or three pairs of pantyhose, putting the extra pairs on over her head and on her arms so that her entire body is covered. A bodystocking can also accomplish this effect.

The second, and far less popular, form of pantyhose sex involves the male putting on the pantyhose while he has sex with his partner. This would not be considered cross dressing, although it is considered a precursor to that behavior. Typically, the man just gets more out of the feeling of the pantyhose against his skin than he does anything else, often including the sex itself. Therefore the pantyhose must be on his body in order to have a successful sexual experience. Sometimes both partners will wear pantyhose, achieving the ultimate in sexual stimulation for everyone involved, especially the fetishist. There are in fact many variations to pantyhose sex, and none, aside from the more obsessing cross dressing sex, would have a measurable negative impact on a relationship.
